Birth and HomeBorn in October of 72 in Baltimore, MD, the Lord gradually began drawing me to Himself at the ripe young age of 15 in June of 1988. I walked the ailse, prayed the 'sinner's prayer' and joined Open Bible Baptist Church on the east side of B-more and made a few modest 'gains' in my spiritual growth from 88-90. I got 'serious' at the tail end of 1991 with my spiritual growth and began to study doctrine and teaching voraciously. The Lord laid a burden on my heart for sound teaching and defending the faith via an encounter I'd had with some Jehovah's Witnesses back in 1990. Ministry HistoryYep, I started reading. My first book (which I still have) was Walter Martin's Kingdom of the Cults. I sat down, soaked up everything Dr. Martin had to say on Jehovah's Witnesses, which also sent me into good doctrinal studies on the Trinity, salvation and more at my church. Taking hold of the gift of teaching the Lord put in me, I eventually began teaching various age groups at my church for Sunday school while in college at Bowie State University. In addition, I managed to get University approval to do a mid-day Bible Study/Fellowship which helped draw out and strengthen a lot of believers on campus. I got the opportunity to do some more work on campus, writing a regular opinion column in the school newspaper where I was blessed to be able to proclaim the Christian worldview boldly. I met and fellowshipped with many good brethren during the early 90's at Bowie. Being a jack of all trades, I also used to DJ part-time while in college. In 93, when my DJing partner was killed in a working accident, the ministry that you now see before you was fully born. While mourning his death, I recalled how many people knew him - and the majority of them were not believers. I immediately put together a proposal of sorts for the development of an apologetics and teaching organization. The name - W.I.T.N.E.S.S. Ministries (Witnessing Informational Teaching Nationwide Evangelism Saving Souls) - was formed and the ministry was born. Many of the older files on this site began their development during my study time back then. Under that banner, much of my work on campus involved dealing with false teaching (including some very memorable encounters with members of the Unification Church/Family Federation for World Peace and Unification ) and teaching the basics of the Christian faith and reinforcing them. In 96, W.I.T.N.E.S.S. took to the internet and has been up ever since. The name change to Theologically Correct dot Com came about through a conversation with a sister in Christ in late 2000, officially taking shape in 2001. More speaking opportunities have abounded since then, as well as more theological growth in myself, having embraced the Doctrines of Grace gradually between September of 98 to December of 2000. Ministry GoalsShort term: I pray that the Lord will
continue to put more opportunities in my way to teach and instruct folks
in the Word of God. Saints and non-saints. It's easy to 'preach to the
choir' (although, from the looks of some of these choirs, they need preaching
to as well). Continue speaking and teaching at local and national church
seminars and events so that the saints may be edified and God may be glorified
by the use of this one little unworthy clay pot Long term: Continue to expand this ministry into a tax deductible ministry, get a staff and enough financial support to put on conferences and seminars on a national and international scale, write books and do whatever's necessary to get solid Biblical teaching in churches. I am currently serving at my local church, attempting to put on some seminars and a regular talk/seminar every first Friday of the month, so that my gift may be used properly. I would welcome the opportunity to come speak to your small group, church event or seminar. I eventually believe the Lord will have me serve as an elder at my local congregation or to plant a church in an area that He will move me to that will need solid Biblical teaching. I plan on attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, prayerfully in January of 2006 to begin work on my M.A.R. and eventually my M.Div. I currently hold a B.S. in Music Education and teach at a local high school in Prince George's County, Maryland. All plans are tennative, as the Lord wills and allows.
His will for my life is the final arbiter of where this ministry will
go and where I'll end up.
